We're not going to give you the usual advice about playing it safe by looking in her undies drawer - apart from for clues about her size - and we're not going to tell you what you already know, that black or white are the safest colours, and we're not going to tell you that red is risky. It’s been a frantic week here with the launch of our new ranges of Joanna’s Wardrobe shapewear and getting ready to release lots of new items for the Autumn. Coming soon there’s more fabulous new lingerie from Kiss Me Deadly, plus a stunning new collection from a new Brand on the site, Les Jupons de Tess, joining Rosy in the Joanna’s Wardrobe’s French connection. Some have said there’s not enough sexy nightwear on the site. Well watch this space!
Just arrived for this season is the elegant Tempest Rose collection by Kiss Me deadly. A stunning lingerie collection in a peachy pink over-laid with black floral lace with gorgeous scalloped edge detailing. We managed to get hold of the sample before it arrived and shots some fun fabulous pictures of our own with the gorgeous Stephanie Jay ... the suspender belt alone is just so beautiful! It is also available in a padded bra, waist cincher and brief as well as a coordinating pink long-line girdle and pink panty girdle.
It’s so exciting this time of year, with mass arrivals at Joanna’s Wardrobe of the new collections for this season from the brands we stock. One of my favourites and definitely on my wish list is the Stephanie collection by Ayten Gasson. It is made in the finest soft rose silk and trimmed with fabulous black Nottingham lace and ribbon. I can just see myself twirling around in the beautiful slip matched with the lace detail knickers or with the soft bra on cool autumn evening – pure indulgence but us girls are worth it!
It’s always a dilemma when you receive garments in that don’t have a suitable image to put on a Web site – So when Joanna’s Wardrobe received these gorgeous Ivory nylons in without an image we were a bit stuck to say the least. By a happy coincidence our good friends at Alter-ego asked if I would like to do a shoot with them as they had a cancellation. I jumped at the chance as it’s always so much fun and a great way to spend the day in the company of Martin & the girls at Alter-ego. I couldn’t resist putting a pair of the gorgeous limited edition Ivory Gio’s in my bag so we could get our image, which I’m please to say are now available to buy from the site.

Always pleased to provide some of Joanna’s Wardrobe’s lingerie and swimwear to my favourite photographers for their projects and loving the atmosphere of the studio, I happily spent last Thursday with photography undergraduate Laura Whittaker and models Annie Andrews and Eliott Taylor at the Dieselpunk studio in Essex. It’s really exciting to see the 1940s and 50s retro look being popular with younger photographers and models and I absolutely love the 50’s American Diner setting! Annie wore the Black Jolie collection with Nude Retro Seamed Stockings, and Eliott wore a suit.

Well we’re all busy here working on the first Newsletter of 2012 and making all the changes that need to happen on the site before we send it out, but there’s one thing you may already have noticed which is our Live Help facility which we hope will make Joanna’s Wardrobe even more like an online boutique.
As any of you who have contacted us by email or through the site in the past will probably have noticed, we’re about all through the UK day and often into the evening helping our customers with queries and giving advice – well now when there’s someone available the Live Chat button will light up and you can talk to us online. There’s also the helpline number for UK use which is 0844 335 1006.
Like a real high street boutique there will be times when we’re busy helping another customer on the phone, or doing something ‘out the back’ when we won’t be available, but we hope we’re around enough to support any needs you have.
