Hourglass Pinup Girl

Another preview shot from my Hourglass Girls photoshoot on Tuesday, this time wearing a Stockings and Romance Fiona Pinup Girdle, Kiss Me Deadly Deville Longline bra and Gio nylons. I had lost the heated rollers by this time and was feeling like a real pin-up model, thanks to the wonderful lingerie and my retro hair and makeup by the very talented Nicole.

A sneak peek of my" pin-up" Hourglass shoot

After spending a fabulous day with Nicole from the Hourglass, she kindly sent me a sneak peek of a few photos to share. Of course what better way to start the shoot with a few fun shots with me, not quite ready, with my hair still in rollers, wearing the classic but essential retro lingerie for any pin-up girl,  the What Katie Did Maitresse Bullet Bra, suspender belt and deep-knickers and of course a pair of authentic nylons!

Today's my Hourglass Day!

I’m really looking forward to having my Hourglass shoot today!  I’ve been chatting for the last few days to Nicole from the Hourglass and to Catherine at Kiss Me Deadly about ideas – like the Vargas Girdle Dress pictured here in black but in peach, which I’ll have on Joanna’s Wardrobe shortly.

I’m so spoilt for choice for outfits! I expect Nicole will come up trumps as usual and since we’re doing the shoot so close to Joanna’s Wardrobe we’ve got all my stock at our disposal, and Catherine is kindly sending a surprise parcel too…but any ideas are always welcome!

Retro Pinup Inspiration from Lacy Unlimited

The search for a May feature for my ideas and inspiration pages led me to a wonderful digital pin-up magazine the other day, and I knew you would all love it! It's the creation of very talented photographer Mark Anthony Lacy and is called Lacy Unlimited. I love pinups from the 50s and 60s and have featured quite a few of them on Joanna's Wardrobe in the past, but Lacy Unlimited is a little darker than most of the others I've showcased, being heavily influenced by another of my favourite genres, Film Noir.
